“It is
impossible for a believer, no
matter what his experience, to
keep right with God if he will
not spend time with God.”

JESUS CHRIST
“I do not pray for these alone,
but also for those who will
believe in Me…that they all may
be one, as You, Father, are in
Me and I in You; that they also
may be one in Us…that they may
be one just as We are one; I in
them, and You in Me; that they
may be made perfect in one…”
John 17:20-23,
NKJV
paraphrased |
If all things exist for God’s
glory, so it is with prayer.
The chief end of prayer is the
glory of God. Jesus said,
“And whatever you ask in My
name, that I will do, that the
Father may be glorified in
the Son.”
John 14:13,
NKJV
“It is
to this end that Jesus on His
throne will do all that we ask
in His Name. Every answer to
prayer He gives will have this
as its object. Where there is
no prospect of this object being
obtained, He will not answer.
It follows as a matter of course
that this must be with us, as
with Jesus, the essential
element in our petition. The
glory of the Father must be the
aim and end, the very soul and
life of our prayers.”
